Without this mindset, there is no way that your websites can rank highly on the search engines, get heaps of traffic and as a result, get lots of sales and customers.
If you are a newbie to online marketing, its certainly not easy to adopt the SEO mindset. Its just one of those things that becomes a habit and that you adopt unconsciously. In fact, I am already using mindset as I write this blog post (without knowing it).
What Is The SEO Mindset?
Explained simply, it's when you constantly think about creating links, content, pages and entire websites in terms of maximising SEO. Its not easy to explain so Ill use the example of this blog post.
As I am writing this blog post, I am strategically placing semantic keywords throughout so that when the search engines come around to index this blog post, this will get a more favourable ranking.
(Semantic keywords are those keywords which are related with the main keyword, in this case, SEO mindset)
In addition, before even writing this post, Ive chosen the pages I want to link to as well as the anchor text I am going to use for each of them. It's now all about putting them neatly within this article.
How To Adopt This Mindset
The key to adopting this type of mindset is to have a detailed and thorough understanding of on page SEO and off page SEO. Once you understand these two concepts (which were covered in my previous posts), you will never again create anything online without thinking about SEO. Which is an awesome thing I must add.
Theres nothing worse than creating great content but not making it easy for visitors to find it online.
