5 Rules New Marketers need to Know

5 Rules New Marketers need to Know Anyone starting a new Internet home based business needs to know they have to learn to walk before they can learn to run. Easy does it applies here, unless you have money to burn. There are things new marketers just do not do until there ready. 1. Organic traffic. Here is where to start, free traffic. Why? This is a kind of training opportunity consisting of getting your presence out as well as feeling your way around. Finding out what you like, what's out there, what's new, where the action is, learning to get your web 2.0 properties set up nicely with your stories, information some links back to your blog etc...This all takes time, the thing you need to stay away from is paid advertising, which can be very costly as well as if not done properly is a waste of time and money new home based marketers don't usually have. 2. Your Hub Concept. Whatever your doing you need to get traffic to your site, the hub. If you write an article and publish on article base have a link in the resource box that goes back to your hub. Have links back to your hub from all your 2.0 properties. Again have links in your 2.0 properties linking them together one by one. Never close the circle, this is known as a link wheel. Another point here is don't do it all the time 50% is a good average, putting out your best work. 3. Quality Content. You need to have something to offer people, here everyone may have different ideas some offer free e-books free training about one thing or another. I always like quality content best, something of value to your readers or anyone following you. Something that will save someone time or money, even something as simple as having link out to interesting article or a friends blog that has a great story or video. You always have to try keep it focused on the people coming to your site. It's about them not you. There is a kind of 80%-20% rule where the 80% is having fun talking to people and the 20% is business. 4. Ethics and Trust. Your name is everything in this business as well as in any other. Having completed the first 3 rules you probably have some ideas of your own, as well as have a list of people you may be thinking about sending an e-mail to as well as having your auto-responders in place, so are you in long term or short term. The point is do not over do it, I had one marketer send me 5 e-mails in one day, what am I supposed to think about that, he obviously has a problem. Then again I have connected with some that I might receive something once a month. These I read or watch video , click link etc... 5. Show me the Money. At this time you should have quite a lot going for you, there may be some tweaking to be done here and there. We have now come to the part where the focus needs to be put on traffic. You must know by now if what you have done will produce or not, hopefully you have connected with the right people, services, programs, I believe you get the point. You could now purchase some programs that have been created to get your articles, videos, blog posts out to as many social sites as possible. This is kind of like a test to see if you have done a good job or not. Having confidence, now is the time to do some PPC(pay per click)advertising, again go slow here, most marketers know from experience, you have to budget here. Yes we are talking lots of traffic, we are also talking a lot of coin, things need to be justified and adjusted accordingly, new game here, start slow learn it, there is a lot to it. Learn more. I hope I haven't scared off to many would be future Internet Home based business entrepreneurs with this article. The beginning of any business start up is always the worst part. However Internet home based businesses have quite the advantage over brick and mortar businesses as overhead like employees, heat, rent etc...are not part of the equation.
