For the wanna-be cheese mongers among us, visit the award-winning Pure Luck Dairy in Dripping Springs, TX to learn the ins-and-outs of making goat-milk cheeses. Participants will start from the source with lessons on the caring and milking of goats, to sanitation, to actual cheese-making processes and packaging. Students will make and take with them cheeses they have made themselves, such as chevre, feta, and Ste. Maure. The workshop lasts from Fri-Sun and costs approximately $395/person. Accommodations are not available at the farm, but there are a variety of wonderful Hill Country accommodations nearby, or a short distance away in Austin.
