Gardening Information - 4 Steps To a Healthy Garden

If you want your garden to look good and have the best over-all health you need to attend to the details of gardening, of course that's the joy of gardening, so hey you can do that right? Here are 4 pieces of gardening information that could help you to maintain optimal garden bloom and health.

1. One essential that must be given major consideration is an adequate supply of water. Even if you have fertile soil and plenty of sunlight, if you overlook water your doomed (doomed I tell you!!) Your saying well duh! I know you are, but guess what, if yo think about it, you probably know some person who could use that little reminder (..maybe a relative) I also like to water in the morning hours or late afternoon when its cooler outside. Plants probably don't like drinking hot water any more that you do, so don't water at the hottest hours ya dig? However if you happen to be planting when its hot you must water liberally.

2. For better results overall I like to plant both perennials with annuals in the same bed, that way your likely to have more consistent blooming in the garden.

3. Deadhead, yes I said, it I like to play really loud deadhead music to my plants, (whoa what a "70s" flashback that was) What I meant to say is you should go out and cut off the dead flowers on you plants and that will encourage more blooms. Dispose of the deadhead in the compost pile away from you beds or mildew and other plant disease could attack your plants. Also if you bury a dead head deep enough the cops won't find it till after you've moved. (a forget I said that, yeah?)

4. Bad bugs bad bugs what chu gonna do? You need to have some good bugs in the garden.

Butterflies, beetles and bees are known pollinators. I had a real problem with my cherries not producing so I told my wife I was gonna get rid of them and she told me to put the chainsaw away, go online and order some mason bees. That turned out to be good gardening information, worked great, cherries galore. Mostly in the garden bugs are good but if you see some leafs curling up or strange spots or come out one morning and your favorite plants have been reduced to stems then yo! you got a problem blee!

You may need insects like lacewings and dragonflies natural predators, my son in law buys 1500 ladybugs at a time and releases them in his gardens to help with aphids. With some stinkers though you will need some pesticide and don't freak out there are natural solutions that work. (hm mm maybe I'll write you a little article on that someday)

Back on the farm I had the pleasurable job of cleaning out the stalls, we saved some of that..stuff, and the following spring I worked it into the soil, goodness if your plants don't have enough food you see poor results for shore. Oh yes the shore, for those hard to get sandy loam lovers....

Prune them plants baby, now go have tea and come back and prune um some more. Fuchsias are particularly good for getting new plants from just plant the cuttings in a pot.

There you have it some gardening information just for you, mostly just have a wonderful time with your garden.
