subject: Brooks And Dunn Tickets - Country Music Duo Break Up [print this page]

Last year, Brooks & Dunn have decided to separate. They posted a message on their website in which both announced their decision to take different paths after twenty years of music in common.

This course has been "everything and more than anything we could dream. We owe you, you, the fans, "wrote the famous duo country."If you hear rumors, do not listen." Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn left on September 8 an album containing their greatest hits and doing a final tour together this summer in 2010.

Boot Scootin 'Boogie, My Maria, Red Dirt Road, and Cowgirls Do not Cry are a few of their many successes. According to their label, Arista Nashville, the duo has sold more than 30 million copies. Brooks, 54, and Dunn, 56, struggled solo when Tim DuBois Arista urged them to unite their forces in 1990. Together, they recorded 23 successes, ranked No. 1. They have signed ten studio albums, most recently in 2007, Cowboy Town.

Brian Philips, president of Country Music Television, said that the announcement of their separation was a total surprise, while judging "unthinkable" that the two artists are moving away from music.

Brooks & Dunn won the award for duo of the year, each edition of the Country Music Association Awards between 1992 and 2006, except 2000. The MAC has also designated the duet artist of the year in 1996.

They are parting ways after their final concert tour in 2010. In an article on Tuesday April 20, 2010 Yahoo reported the final concert for Brooks & Dunn will take place August 10, 2010 in Nashville.

Up till now, there are no rumors about their future plans after the separation. But though they no longer work together, or even never play, the duo have made a noticeable mark in the musical field since their early beginnings.
