subject: Htc Hd Mini Reviewed - A Really Cool Mini Mobile Phone [print this page]

HTC has been pushing the boat out with its recent smartphones, however the HTC HD2 mobile is a real knock-out handset. Whilst all people has their personal choices to what people like and don't like, it would take someone with super human eye sight to not to be impressed with how the screen on this unit works out.

In a nutshell, the HD2 is a big screen in your pocket. It has 4.3 inches (diagonal) of high-resolution touch screen, which is fitted in to an amazingly skinny casing. It is the worlds first capacitive touch technology to run under Windows.

Apple made capacitive famous on the iPhone and this technology is now being adopted by many other mobile manufacturers. This works, by using the electrical siginla in our body to understand exactly where exactly on the screen our fingers are touching. What this means is you may be as delicate as you like, although most of the time it doesnt work efficiently or at all with a stylus pen.

Also for the first time in Windows mobile phone history, HTC has allied the touchscreen display with its HTC Sense concept. It is easy to customise the size and style, flick through multiple windows so all your favourites are at your fingertips and search for contacts, Twitter Tweets, Emails and much more. Whether or not this matches ones expectations of a holistic experience as described by HTC, this is down to the person using this mobile phone.

It weighs in at 157g - heavy even for a high end smartphone - but somehow, because it is so thin, the weight of the HTC HD2 enhances its attraction. At least you won't have to be checking your pockets every five minutes to see if you still have your phone.

Screen clarity is second to none and you will not have to squint your eyes to see whats on the page, it makes Web site and document viewing not only viable, but pleasurable. Navigation is slick, straightforward and effortless to manage; viewing is sharp and rich, but what do these really mean by the HD tag? Is it like HD as we have come to expect?. We are not going to kid you by saying this is going to look like you Hd Television set.

HTC communications have raised the bar for smartphones and with other brand names Motorola also emerging, this coming year should be a really exciting one for the mobile phone market.
