subject: Buyers Guide To Used And Refurbished Laptops [print this page]

OK, so you need a new laptopOK, so you need a new laptop. But you also desperately need to take that long-awaited vacation you have been so looking forward to all year, what are you going to do?

Do not panic because there is a simple solution! Used and Refurbished Laptops - affordable laptop computers.

You may or you may not be aware of the terms used and refurbished laptops. I am guessing that a high percentage of you will already know the difference between used and refurbished laptops. For those of you who don't I can tell you now that it is essential knowledge when making a purchase of any affordable laptop computer whilst on a tight budget.

If you are on a budget then the first difference you must to be aware of between used and refurbished laptops is the price. The used laptop will be cheaper simply due to the fact that it is used and no repairs have been made since the reseller used it. Whereas a refurbished laptop tends to be higher in price because the manufactures/previous owners have restored the laptop to its original condition before it goes back on the market for resale, and nine times out of ten a refurbished laptop comes with a full warranty.

Now that you know the difference between used and refurbished laptops the question still remains, which one will you go for?

When you sum up the cost of a brand new laptop the refurbished laptop saves you a lot money, but that's not all. Because the refurbished laptop has been restored you are actually getting a bargain for you money. You are purchasing something which is almost brand new at a much lower price. You are still getting a full warranty with the added bonus of any previous problems that may have existed with the laptop already being repaired. It's a win win situation! Also you usually find that refurbished laptops tend to come with bug-free applications already installed.

Now lets take a closer look at the used laptop. After purchasing a used laptop there's a chance you may have to part with even more money for repairs you were unaware of at the time of buying. So even though it seems cheaper to opt for the used laptop at the beginning please remember that you don't get any kind of warranty with a used laptop. My personal choice between used and refurbished laptops which will probably come as no surprise to you would be the refurbished. Purchasing a used laptop comes with many risks, especially if the seller had other unknown reasons for making the sale. So out of used and refurbished laptops I think refurbished laptops rock.
