I am so conflicted here. I want the huntsman spiders to be well, and happy, and free from suffering. I want to be unafraid of them. I want us all to live together happily. But my goodwill is blocked by a physical and emotional reaction that is so strong and immediate I can't seem to find a way to get a handle on it, or work with it. So I guess all I can do in the meantime is cultivate metta for the spiders and have faith that one day my love really can be strong enough to banish fear.
