For trailer towing I would recommend slotted rotors which are stronger and give your pads lots to bite on. On other applications it is up to you to determine what you are looking for. For a good performance type brake rotors choose a slotted and cross drilled combo. If speed is what concerns you most a cross drilled set of brake rotors should be the ticket.
