subject: Barrington Lexus Dealer Says Gs-f May Exist By 2013 [print this page]

As if the luxury market wasnt powerful enough, it looks like well be adding some extra power in the coming years. One of the industrys leading manufacturers of luxury autos is gearing up to launch one of the segments most powerful cars in the next few years, and were pretty sure that this will substantiate all the rumors that were floating around the Detroit Auto Show. But when should we expect one of the most powerful luxury cars on the market to drop? Looks like Barrington Lexus drivers are going to have to wait until 2013 before they can get a test-drive.

Im of course talking about the much-anticipated GS-F, which is supposedly getting the V10 engine included in the LFA supercar that has been on display at auto shows across the world. This new vehicle represents an important next step for Barrington Lexus dealers across the area. I, for one, am incredibly excited to give the GS-F a test-drive when it hits the market in a few years, and I can bet that Chicago Lexus RX enthusiasts feel quite the same way. We dont really have many details about the GS-F yet, but hopefully more will emerge over the coming year.

According to Autocar, Lexus engineers are working on reducing the engines capacity by around 200cc to 4.6 litres and power to 450bhp. The idea is to improve low-range torque, although even with the reduced power output the GS-F will become the most powerful road-going Japanese saloon ever built.

The GS-F will be fitted with Toyotas first torque vectoring differential. Similar to the diff used on BMWs M cars and the likes of the X6 SUV, the torque split unit actively apportions drive between the rear wheels to aid handling. A similar system is also expected to be fitted to the new SC.

Speaking of the new SC, it looks like Autocar had something to say about that one for Chicago Lexus RX enthusiasts across the city. We can expect to see the SC around the middle of 2014, although the current SC is expected to finish production this July. That will mean a four-year gap between the two vehicles, so fans of this SC will have to wait awhile to see the new and improved version. Barrington Lexus dealers were excited to find out that the latter of the two models will be a hybrid that runs on a 5.0-liter V8 and an electric motor for the rear wheels. The truth is that it would be surprising if Lexus actually went four years without a new iteration of the SC, as it is the only true sports coupe in the lineup.

I dont know about you, but Ive found the automotive market an exciting, rejuvenated space over the last year. Yes, sales werent exactly amazing in 2009, but most manufacturers dusted themselves off, redefined their directions and kept chugging into the future. Lets hope to see more of the same from Chicago Lexus RX dealers, who represents one of the luxury segments most crucial brands.
