subject: Long Island Toyota Rav4 Dealership Says Acceleration Claims Are Being Spun Out Of Control [print this page]

You wouldnt even believe how far the media is taking the recent Toyota controversy. To be quite honest, I was sick of hearing about it two weeks after it happened but here we are, much farther beyond it and were back to the same questions. Did Toyota act properly in the recall? Could Toyota have prevented the problems? Are there still vehicles on the market affected by the sticky acceleration pedal? And on and on and on. Its getting so that you cant walk into a Long Island Toyota Rav4 without expecting to see looks of shame on all of the floor workers faces. Next thing you know, theyll be leaning over to kiss our shoes in apology. Okay, thats an exaggeration.

But Ill tell you what isnt: the media has turned this story into a feeding frenzy. Most Long Island Toyota Sienna drivers realize that the recall was just a natural part of the progression of all automakers. And Im not saying that manufacturers shouldnt be held accountable for their actions. But, again, with all of the other situations that have been skirted over by the U.S. government, it really seems that Toyota is being demonized in order to save the fallen Big Three. For Long Island Toyota Rav4 dealers, it really cant get much worse than that, especially when the manufacturer has been so crucial in changing the entire landscape of the industry.

And now, even ABC News is getting in on the action. In fact, it appears that the nationally accepted media outlet is being accused of some seriously deranged actions. It appears that Brian Ross, a man whose picture is surely taped to dart boards in the showrooms of Long Island Toyota Sienna dealers across the area, has filed a report that made it on the evening news saying that all Toyota cars can easily slip into acceleration problems in any situation basically attempting to destroy any credibility Toyota had left in the eyes of its loyal customer base. Looks like Brian Ross messed with the wrong brand, and your Long Island Toyota Sienna dealership is out for retribution.

In fact, it was Toyota at the corporate level that reprimanded ABC for its actions through the mail. While the media giant has admitted some fault in the situation, it has made it nowhere near the appropriate level of blame not nearly enough to convince all Long Island Toyota Rav4 drivers that the report was a fake. Its a shame because the media outlet is demonizing the exact manufacturer that set the tone for the current state of the automobile industry: one that embraces fuel efficiency in engine technology in order to lower total cost of ownership for car owners and facilitate better eco-friendliness.

Well, its a shame that this is the way that things had to be, but it seems the media has been taking on a mind of its own as of late. Until people like Brian Ross are truly held accountable for their actions, we give the media free reign to do or say anything that they please.
