Canadian music group aims to be more than just a band:

In an industry where artists themselves are struggling just to get by, it's rare to see an Pop group looking out for someone other than themselves. Caleb Cummings, one of the most popular singer for the Christian group Wake-up Starlight, spoke frankly about his vision.

The problem is that, the Christian music industry is an industry like any other, that in the end only serves one purpose; to make money. Aligning ourselves with our mission, that produces very tangible results, for people who too often die in the most abject poverty, has given us a new hope that we, as Christian musicians, can work toward. Not just being rock stars, but also enhancing the standard of living for people who were born into situations that we have no real frame of reference for.

Partnering together, Caleb Cummings and his childhood friend Chris Noble created the music group Wake-up Starlight, a Christian rock band that would not simply focus on writing and releasing music, but that would also put the message they sing about into action. Already Caleb has been on two missions trips with the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada to El Salvador where he has played a vital role in the construction of 15 small steel, aluminum, and concrete houses to replace the crumbling shacks that the locals, in small villages, just outside San Vicente, El Salvador, had crudely assembled using mud, sticks, and outdated constructions methods.

Wake-up Starlight has recently released their first single called 'One Step Away' to Christian radio stations in both the USA and Canada, and it is already receiving significant airplay on both sides of the border. The song is full of passion, emphasizing the Grace we can only receive from our Heavenly Father.
