Hobart is one of those places, that despite being small, attracts tourists from all over the world. Examples of beautiful attractions include the beautiful colonial cottages at Battery Point, or the Salamanca Place Harbour. Hobart is Australia's southmost state capital and its 2d oldest city, after the famous city of Sydney. There is so much to do whilst in Hobart, including such attractions as the Bonorong Wildlife Conservation Centre which is a great place to experience the animals of the outdoors.

Hobart's finest wine makers, the Cascade Brewery and the Moorilla Estate, offer wine tours and tastings which are a fun day out for visitors and locals as well. The Cadbury Chocolate Factory is another stop on Hobart's list of attractions and is open for tours of the factory and demonstrations of the chocolate-making process throughout the week.

Bask the great outdoors of Hobart by checking out the breathtaking scenery at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, where you can take a stroll through acres of unique plants, flowers and other dainty gardening marvels .

Visitors can also take a walk through history at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and the Female Factory Historic Site. Both of these museums are fun and exciting ways to explore the history of Tasmania whilst spending your holiday in Hobart.

No vacation would be complete without experiencing some of the local nightlife, and Hobart offers some of the best. If shows are your thing, head on down to the The oldest theatre in the country, the Theatre Royal, or if you fancy something a little more lively, Hobart's first casino at Wrest Point may be just what the doctor ordered!

Knopwood's Place is an historic tavern that keeps the nightlife alive in Hobart. Friday and Saturday nights are packed and there is occasional live music. Local bands also play on Weekends and the charming Irish Murphy's pub situated at Salamanca Place. This local drinking pub offers a wide variety of beers on tap and atmospherical surroundings.

Hobart also offers some great shopping to visitants. The Salamanca Market is one of Australia's best markets and features over 200 stalls. Shoppers can find everything from handmade gifts such as pottery, glass and crafts to fresh fruits and vegetables.
