subject: Twickenham Stadium Provides Twickenham Parking [print this page]

Twickenham stadium has been around for over a hundred years and seats about eighty two thousand people. With the first match having been played in 1909, Twickenham still hosts all the rugby matches that are played in England. As with a number of big stadiums around the world, over the years not only are rugby matches played here, but famous artists such as R.E.M and the Rolling Stones have performed in this stadium as well.

Every public venue nowadays requires a number of parking spaces as the number of cars increases yearly, along with the number of people attending. Having the capacity to seat over eighty thousand people you can only imagine how many cars that would add up to and how much space would be required. However, as the Twickenham stadium is located in a residential area, parking for fans could become a problem.

It is an obvious fact that people who live in residential areas have their own special permits that allow them to park around their homes, so not just anyone can park there. If any car without a permit is parked there it will be towed and no fan wants to step out of an exhilarating match or concert to find their car gone.

However, being around for over a century the Twickenham people know how to cater to their customers. Twickenham parking is evolving and improving year by year. Fans intending to watch a match over the weekend or one during the week can fill out a form and send it in by a certain date, for example sending in your form by Friday if you are watching a mid week game, to book your parking spot in one of the many venues that the stadium has available.

Some parking spots might be a short fifteen minute walk away but on the way you may pass a number of pubs where you can pop in for a drink or maybe a small bite to eat. And if you are celebrating after the game then what could be more convenient.

Twickenham parking not only caters to all its fans but it caters to people with specific cars and of course disabled people. If you hold a blue badge and require a specific parking spot then all you have to do is fill out the specific form that is available. Parking spots and areas would also vary depending on the car you own. Parking would be different for people with cars and people with bigger cars such as minibuses and vans.

If you book your tickets in advance and apply for your parking you will receive your parking pass a couple of weeks before the event. However, if you apply for your parking at the last minute your pass will be sent to you within twenty four hours.

Visiting Twickenham stadium is an experience in itself, whether you go to watch a match, a famous performer or just take the stadium tour. So do not let your experience be ruined by arriving and then dealing with parking. Obtain your pass beforehand and enjoy the full experience that Twickenham has to offer.
