Doom 3 While the first Doom game was known for being one of the first groundbreaking first-person shooters, Doom 3 is the underrated third game in the franchise which really upped the ante in terms of sound, graphics and storyline. Developed for the Xbox and computer consoles, Doom 3 was seen as a sort of reboot of the franchise, taking the story and characters into the new generation with an intricate storyline and modern weapons and game length. The game was critically acclaimed and noted that the games opening sequence was a fitting tribute to Half-Life a game which really made Doom 3 possible and no doubt influenced its idea of space-terror and artificial intelligence. Condemned: Criminal Origins With key references to films like The Silence of the Lambs and Se7en, Condemned is a unique game in that you take the role of a crime scene investigator who is investigating a strange rash of psychopathic activity and an increase in violence all over the city. You follow the trail of a serial killer known as the Match Maker and he brings to light an even more deadly serial killer known as Serial Killer X. You must track down both killers and as you do you come face to face with an evil much worse than man. The unique part of the game was that you are actively involved in investigating crime scenes using fingerprints, footprints, blood, markings and fluids to guide you through the story and the game.About the Author:
