Even if I'm frazzled and don't know what's happening, I check and recheck ID's and confirm with the company over the phone that the person who's changing my locks is legitimate and the company I'm dealing with is secure. There have been enough burglaries around my neighborhood that seem so easy to prevent, if they only did their research and picked the safe ones out there. How easy is it to look up which company has a case against the Better Business Bureau? Or have been suspected of larceny? Better safe than sorry, even if it takes time and effort, because come on, this is my family's security at stake here. No cutting corners for me here!
