subject: Success As An Outcome Carefully Planned Over A Period Of Time [print this page]

At certain points in our lives, we find ourselves falling victim to procrastination. However, when this becomes our main way of life, we end up leading disorganized lives.

Success is not achieved overnight, and you'll need to be patient in order to achieve your goals. It is a careful process of deciding what you want to do in life, what steps you have to take to get there, and what to do once you get what you want.

Taking mental pictures helps guide you to the path of freedom and inspiration. In a way, procrastination is a self-defeating behavior that stems from low self-esteem and anxiety over disappointment.

It's easier to take on small tasks to be completed over a span of time rather than taking on an insurmountable task. You may just surprise yourself with how much you can accomplish by focusing on one task at a time rather than crowding your mind with numerous tasks.

Exercising self-discipline will help you accomplish more in shorter periods of time, and it's an art that can be learned.

No matter what's happening around you, keep your mind focused on the rewards of accomplishing your goals. If distractions present themselves to you, use your mind to block out what impedes your growth. Do your best to focus, solely on the task at hand.

You will surely succeed if you refuse to let others change the path you have selected for yourself. Overcoming procrastination and staying motivated is the only way to lifetime success and happiness.

You'll reach your goals faster once you stay focused on your sole purpose. Review your habits and method of thinking to settle on what you are visualizing most of the time. If, however, your visions don't guide you to accomplishing your goals, change them.
