If you have been in the MLM industry for at least one day then you most likely have already made some mistakes. I understand this sounds harsh but it is the unfortunate truth.
This industry is filled with people with no marketing knowledge or training. To top it off, the people that enroll them into the business don't have any more expertise than the new recruit. This causes all kinds of issues but the biggest mistakes can be easily avoided with just a bit of guidance and a marketing plan.
The best way to avoid a mistake is to know what it is you're trying to get around. So, after years of pouring time, money and effort into my MLM business here are the top ten biggest mistakes I have made.
1. Spending hours, days, weeks learning everything there is to know about a company's products.
2. Penning the infamous 'Friends and Family List'.
3. Marketing a company replicated site.
4. Pitching and selling to anyone within earshot.
5. Begging people to join the business.
6. Buying new distributor's products to get them into the business.
7. Joining too many lists and getting information overload.
8. Putting faith in systems and joining every one them looking for the magic bullet to make the business easy and work
9. Building a list for other people and the company itself instead of my own.
10. Only marketing my primary business opportunity.
Making any of the above MLM mistakes will hurt both your business and your bank account.
