The reclining Buddha statue that is found in another hall in the west denotes the serene attitude of Buddha in his last moments.

The temple, that is currently inhabited by monks, possess another array of three large gilded Buddha statues denoting Buddhas of the past, present and future, in a hall called Daxiong Baodian. Among this beautifully crafted, sacred statues, (replica), the Tianwang Dian Hall adds another impressive touch to the temple with the four celestial kings statues enshrined in it. A public restaurant situated at the east end of the temple and a Buddhist library adds to the attraction of this awe inspiring place of worship in Shanghai.
