subject: Wellness Now A Big Issue In Germany... [print this page]

Everybody has a dream of living longer, but nobody relishes the thought of growing old either penniless, or with a mind or body severely damaged by some debilitating lifestyle threatening disease.

I know how costly this can be - we turned part of our house into a safe nursing area so we could personally look after my Alzheimer's stricken father. But he was one of the lucky ones - we did not have to call on social care to look after him, he had all the love and attention that his family were able to provide - his family rallied round him.

Although countless millions are spent by Health Services - much of that to the ever-growing pharmaceutical companies - on trying to repair the damage that today's all-too-common lifestyle brings - everybody seems to be ignoring the old saying 'An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away'.

Even with all of the money spent on research by these cash-rich drug companies, the number of people affected by lifestyle-destroying illnesses such as cancer, arthritis, diabetes, Alzheimer's and other mind-destroying diseases, heart disease, strokes, and even MRSA (making hospital visits doubly dangerous), is reaching epidemic proportions.

With the whole German demand for fruit actually falling over the last couple of years, as more and more people opt to get their fruit intakes as juices, care must be taken over the content of many of these so-called popular heath drinks. Take my advice - if you want to improve your wellbeing, then please make sure you read every food label - you could be about to destroy your wellbeing if you don't - you could be doing more harm than good to yourself if you don't.

Also too many people go 'pill-popping' from non-prescription drugs, and even many so-called health drinks are full of potential poisons such as aspartame, Phenylalanine and Acesulfame K. Then there is the epidemic of obesity caused in the main by vast overdosing of fructose (simple sugar) found in so many soft drinks and other products.

You know what I think? (and its not just my thoughts) - totally the wrong approach. Total 'Cart before the Horse! For far too long we have just relied on popping pills for this, pills for that, totally ignoring the premise of.

If you look at statistics, these chronic illnesses have become more and more widespread for well over 60 years now, and show no sign of slowing this explosive growth - despite all the efforts of the medical profession.

Two Things Spring to Mind here - Diet and Lifestyle.

For many people, they do not look after themselves, and when they get sick, they have this unerring faith in their Doctor to give them some magic pill to cure all ills - and it does not work that way! But this is just what the drug companies want us to think.

So - getting back to fruit. Because of the intensive way we harvest fruit these days; to get the same amount of Vitamin C out of a peach that you would have got way back in 1955 would take around 50 peaches today. So the old saying about an apple a day needs quite a bit of updating. But do you fancy chomping through 55 apples a day to keep healthy? Especially as you would probably consume so much poisonous insecticide from the apple skins that you would ruin your health anyway!

And as for the Government's actual recommendations that we should all take 5 pieces of fruit a day, for a start, who even eats this amount every day, and even if they did, you can see from the way we now cultivate fruit that this is nowhere near enough to get the full benefit your body is craving for.

In the United States, it is now widely accepted that closer to 12 - 13 helpings of fresh fruit a day is really needed in order to actually strengthen the body's immune system.

But with the way in which fruit is cultivated these days - picked before they are ripe, covered in insecticide, and then gassed to make them look ripe, even buying so-called fresh fruit from your local store is no guarantee that you will have the necessary levels of antioxidants and other nutrients.

Everybody should be consuming the antioxidant value of 12 - 13 helpings of good quality fruit every day. So, if you can't rely on you local store to provide you with good quality fruit, how do you get your daily dose?

Simple.

Start drinking a good quality fruit juice, based on one of Nature's superfruits - the Acai Berry. But, whatever you do - do not rely even on household name brands that can just as easily be laden with poisons such as aspartame, Phenylalanine and Acesulfame K. And especially watch out for the sugar contents on the label, especially Fructose. (Hint: the word "syrup", "sweetener", and anything ending in "ose" can usually be assumed to be "sugar".

Designed for easy absorption in the body, just 2-4 ounces of the premier blend of acai juices per day provides you with the phytonutrients and antioxidants found in many of the world's most nutritious fruits - including acai.

Also, being picked wild from the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest, any pollution from pesticides will be about ZERO. Not only that, the premier acai-based fruit juices will contain a high level of fibre, and a very low concentration of natural sugars, which should result in a low glycemic index.

If you are suffering from any sugar-related illnesses such as diabetes, make sure you consult your doctor before consuming any such juices.

Of course, to be acceptable to the German marketplace, any fruit drink taken has to have a great taste, and an innovative marketing opportunity behind it, as well as a social conscience, especially where wild fruits such as the acai berry from the Amazon are utilized. On top of that, if the product can be marketed in a part time home business, or MLM format, the thought of people being able to promote their health, both physically and financially, will be an even added incentive to better heath and wellbeing.

By regular consumption of such a high daily intake of antioxidants, combined with regular exercise, and a more careful reading of product labels, your body's immune system should be greatly strengthened, with a corresponding higher overall health and energy level.

A strong and healthy immune system is far more capable of fighting off by itself many of the debilitating diseases so prevalent in modern day society - leaving you free to lead a longer, more active, and much fitter life - with less need to have to rely on social care in your old age.
