Mixing music books effective information

I think that the mixing of a music is a whole discipline, that should be learning like other disciplines. Modern creation of music is really an interesting science, full of experiments and researches. And how can the beginner find that information? Internet is full of tutorials and theory for a beginner, but it's better to learn it with a whole system. And what can be more effective in self-learning than the book?

So, we have many books about the whole process of mixing, mastering and creating music. However, there are only a few authors that explained in a simple and interesting way all aspects of sound producing and mixing.

1) David Gibson The Art of Mixing. David wrote a brilliant book that helped almost everybody who knows how the mix should be, but don't know how to make it. His visual system is very simple and creative, so, even if you don't understand something in text, you can understand that in his illustrations.

2) Bobby Owsinski The Mixing Engineer's Handbook. Owsinski in his book gives a real explanation of mixing music and the whole producing process. He also gathered information about mixing various tracks from other producers, so the book is full of interesting experience stories.

3) Bob Katz Mastering Audio. His book also has funny material, various stories about producing and mastering music. He talks about practical using of music technologies and how changes of one element in the mix involve changes in other elements.

That's three authors and three books. They helped me in learning mixing music, and I read them from time to time and find something new to me. For beginner's who want to learn mixing discipline that books are a very good choice. With these books, learning will be much faster and effective, without additional effort and problem.
