Top of the range technology encased in some truly extraordinary design!

The revered Taiwanese technological giants HTC are pushing boundaries with there latest release. The HTC Legend is easy on the eye with its aluminium chassis and caressed curves. This body is home to its Android 2.1 operating system and intuitive HTC Sense. The phone is operated via its 3.2inch AMOLED, high resolution touch screen.

The HTC Legend smoothes out the lines previously drawn by the HTC Hero with some very notable upgrades. One of these would be the move from the Track ball used on the Hero to the Track button. The track button is basically a small dot in the centre of a round Select button. Its far more responsive than the ball and gives you far more control for easier and quicker navigation.

The Legend has a 5mega pixel camera capable of video recording with auto focus, widescreen image capture and geo tagging, and is Facebook and YouTube compatible with both integrated into the handset. So you can upload videos and pictures for all of your friends to enjoy.

HTC have given this handset internal GPS which uses Google maps accompanied by a digital compass its absolutely impossible to lose your way. The media player supports most music and video formats for download and playback including mp3, wma and wav. Where memory is concerned the Legend has a micro SD slot where anything up to 32GB can be used.

The high resolution touch screen proves to be a very capable tool in navigating and interacting the many widgets and applications the HTC Legend supports, with a receptive virtual keyboard and pinch and spread zoom function its almost like conducting an orchestra with your fingertips gracefully gliding across the AMOLED capacitive screen. The Smartphones Sense technology brings with it many perks, standing out from the crowd however is the social networking app FriendStream,. A widget on the home menu displays any status updates or uploads from sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Another useful widget in the vast collection is called NewPeople, this when touched allows you to create and modify groups of contacts made from family members or different circles of friends. This is useful in organising contacts so they are easier to locate and contact.

Unlike some other HTC models the HTC Legend has Googles Android 2.1 operating system, which gives the device MultiTouch functionality and also allows for quicker tasking. Another impressive function this device is capable of is its ability to sense its surroundings. When receiving a call the G Sensor can sense when it has been heard and lowers the ring volume when the phone is picked up, the G Sensor completely silences the phone when it is flipped face down.

To conclude, HTC where thinking big when they produced the Legend, it is hugely ambitious and borders spectacular in appearance and performance.
