I suggest that you be minimal with decor. These rooms are often very small and you do not want to overpower the natural beauty which will be seen through the windows. Try selecting a few window boxes and "planting" silk tulips. These will immediately draw your visitors' attention to your theme and look lovely all year long. Dutch window boxes are similar to American window boxes in size; however they are usually more rounded and made of wrought iron then lined with moss. These window boxes can serve double duty. Bottomless wine glasses are the height of fashion and to sit down these glasses you must use a stem holder. It can be difficult to find somewhere to place these stem holders. Yet with a window all you need to do is insert the holder into the box and your problem is solved.
Area rugs are always a nice addition to any room. Do the same with your day room; add in a nice brightly colored rug, or one that has a tulip on it. If you already have some tulips in the room, don't overdo it though, remember this will only make it seem a lot more crowded. With the area rug though your kids can have a place to sit and play or relax.
Day rooms or sun rooms will add something special to your home. If you want to make it a little more peaceful where you can sit and relax or where your kids can play, give the room a nice little make over.
