subject: Debating The Best Tap Dances Ever [print this page]

Classic movies are still very popular, they remind us of times that were simpler and much more relaxed. The talented people who appeared in them, especially in musicals, were definitely one of a kind. Even today, their talents remain unmatched. Though they may use all possible technology, modern movies do not even come close. Many still argue over the best tap dances ever.

The best tap dances done in movies generally come down to a group of five people. Unbridled enthusiasm and energy added unprecedented aspects to their performances. You just do not see tap dancing done in today's movies. The modern desire to see explosions and car crashes have caused it to fall to the wayside.

Gene Kelly is very well known for his excellent performances. He did very notable tap dances in several movies. Most people, however, cannot decide if his best was done in Singin in the Rain or Moses Supposes. Both contained great dances that could not have been done as well by any other talent.

The stair dance, which was performed in Stormy Weather by the Nicholas Brothers is also a top contender. No director could have planned for the elements that arose from their energy and agility. No one can say they were not an incredibly talented pair. Notably, even Fred Astaire claimed it was the best tap dance done in a movie.

Most notable and the one to which most people would award the top spot are Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. They danced to Begin the Beguine and it still remains one of the most commonly watched videos on the Internet. It was almost like watching magic happen right in front of your eyes, because they were so in sync.

Regardless of which you pick as your favorite, there is no denying that they were all amazing performances. Everyone has to agree that these are among the best tap dances ever performed. They had unrivaled talents and genuinely enjoyed using them.
