Before you start shaving your head or dousing liquid aluminum chloride on your scalp, you first have to understand why you are having this unusual condition called excessive head sweating. This kind of excessive sweating is commonly termed as Hyperhidrosis. This happens when your sweat glands are having a malfunction since it is overreacting too much. There are also incidents when your excessive head sweating come as a side effect from an injury to the spine or even a symptom to a rather alarming medical ailment like Diabetes. There are even other conditions that may aggravate your Cranial Hyperhidrosis:

1) Anxiety or Panic Attack - Palpitations or adrenaline rushes could make you break out into a sweat. If you experience this once or just twice, it would be normal but if you are having these attacks quite regularly, you will be noticing the sweating factor to accompany with these events. You are overproducing certain hormones making your leak as opposed to bead up in sweat.

2) Stress - Lack of sleep would make your body produce alarming levels of sweat to create balance to the condition of your body that you have created havoc with. An imbalance of proper function could also result to sweating. There are also times when your sweating is aggravated by situations that make you uncomfortable like a presentation in front of valuable and important people at work.

3) Menopause - "Hot Flashes" is a side effect of the pre-cessation of Menstruation. There are no known medications to help you go around the condition since it is but normal. You can only take more showers to relieve yourself from these uncomfortable feeling.

4) Hyperthyroidism - When you have this ailment, you will suffer rapid weight loss due to a very fast metabolism. The way you burn calories is with speed so your heart and other organs begin to work double time thus the unusual amount of sweat that is being excreted.

5) Hereditary - Your genes make up is also one of the contributors for excessive head sweating. It would be best to ask your parents if they have experienced this situation and if they also know other relatives or even your grandparents if they went through this.

Even though the causes or symptoms of excessive head sweating is quite vague for now, it would be advised for you to consult your physician and have an executive check up to really nail down the root cause if your excessive sweating. Since surgery should be the last thing that should come to mind, there are non-evasive and inexpensive treatments to consider.
