Top 3 Ways BPO Units Ruin SEO

SEO is a relatively new baby in the BPO world. It's not been long that call centers started taking up SEO assignments. In fact, it's only in the last couple of years that business firms are actually thinking about websites and online traffic in an organized, determined way. The seeming lack of insight of the business firms in matters related to SEO has landed the call center managers with all the responsibility to plan and execute things. The BPO services managers have their task cut out. They are making a good job of optimizing the client websites.

However, they are falling short of expectations at certain points. The call center BPO, despite having the best intentions, has got themselves trapped in a sort of glass ceiling. They are using all the SEO tools but they are using them effectively after a certain point. As a result, the traffic isn't shooting through the roof. Let's find out the Top 3 ways in which the BPO SEO train is getting derailed.

Social media comes on top of my list. This is the tool that most irks the BPO employees! To begin with, the call center agents are clueless about how they can promote the brand on social media networks. There is little or no networking. There is very little in terms of interaction. The call center BPO guys have to stop sending out add requests to friends on Facebook. They have to stop following just about everyone on Twitter.

Plus, the planners of the social media campaigns have to realize that the social media platform is not separate from their SEO efforts. The activity that they do on Facebook is searchable by engines like Google and Bing. So you have to keep in mind that you keep the branding work on social media networks at par with the other SEO work that you are doing.

The home page of many websites designed for SEO actually defeats the purpose itself! BPO designers who work on these home pages often go overboard. There are too many clickable links on the websites. The call center planners have to get the home page design in perspective. A viewer cannot click on all the links!

When a client hires BPO services, they must make sure that their business partners know exactly what is expected off them. Too many clickable links add to the clutter and confuse the visitor. With too many things pressing him/her for attention, the user is most likely to leave the site than deal with home page clutter.

Finally, the websites designed for SEO needs to be capable of dealing with a high traffic volume. Research analysis has revealed that many websites that do active SEO are actually not ready to receive the traffic that they are working to get. The BPO managers have to ensure that the servers are ready to handle high traffic volume. The SEO efforts of the call center won't be of any value if the incoming traffic cannot access the site.

If the server is not ready, users will have trouble uploading the pages on their computers. Heavy pages are impossibility for all those users who use cell phones that do not have Wi-Fi. In other words, you are losing out on all that traffic that you have earned with hard labor.
