The concept of asanas in Yoga system commence with Pawanmuktasana series.

The main idea behind these asanas is to provide agility in the areas of body joints.

We cannot practice these asnaas properly without allowing suitable suppleness in the joints.

Pawanamuktasana offers right practice for creation the joints supple.

This asana is quite important for those people who aspire to do impressive great in the field of higher stages Yoga.

You cannot go for higher stages asanas without proper practice of this asana.

The proper practice of this asana provides flexibility in the joints and remove the hardness of the muscles.

You cannot forego this asana as the subtle result of this easy and natural practice affects the entire body and mind.

As you know, our bodies are calm of blood, flesh, bones, marrow, water, wind, electricity, etc., and when we practise the pawanmuktasana series of exercises, we are definitely affecting these mechanism of the body.

However, the pawanmuktasana exercises are not only meant for the physical body.

Of course we perform these exercises from side to side the physical body and many of us practise pawanmuktasana to uphold or reinstate our physical health, but as well as inducing positive effects in the physical body, our psychic centres are also prejudiced.

General Rules for Asanas

1.Follow the fixed hours for the put into practice of asanas

2.Keep the exercise room clean and airy

3.Spread a blanket or carpet on an even floor

4.Use comfortable and appropriate clothing

Pawanmuktasana Position

1.Legs together hands by the face of your body.

2.Bend your left leg and grip it with both the hands.

3.Interlock your fingers and press your thigh against the abdomen.

4.Breathe deeply (at least five breaths).

5.Come back to Shavasana.

6.Now repeat the same process on right side.

7.Then with both the legs, urgent your thighs hard against the abdomen.

8.Breathe deeply (at least five breaths).

9.Come back, make straight your legs and relax

Benefits:

1.Stretches the neck and back.

2.The abdominal muscles are tensed and the internal organs are compressed which increases the blood circulation and stimulate the nerves, increasing the efficiency of the internal organs.

3.The pressure on the stomach releases any attentive gases in the large intestine.

4.Blood circulation is augmented to all the internal organs.

5.Digestive system is improved.

6.Relieves constipation.

7.Strengthens the lower back muscles and loosen the spinal vertebrae.

8.Sterility and impotence.

Precautions and Contra-indications:

1.Must be avoided if there is recent abdominal surgery as there is a lot of pressure on the abdomen.

2.Anyone suffering from hernia or piles be supposed to avoid this asana.

3.Pregnant women should not do this asana.

4.If there is any pain, rigidity or injury to the next the head should remain on the floor.
