For those of you who have daughters, you probably already know that little girls love ponies. If you decide to give in to your precious little lady, I would highly recommend a quality set of horse barn blueprints. I am constantly making reference to my father, who by trial-and-error, has engineered many do-it-yourself (DIY) projects. Eventually, they have turned out very well, but not without a great deal of swearing, minor injuries and doubt. I don't ever remember seeing my father with a set of plans or blueprints for his handiwork, and I would estimate this has cost him hundreds of hours better spent on other things (like taking his son to a Phillies game!). One major project my dad tackled was a horse barn for my younger sister's two horses, Bambi and Thunder. This horse barn had a front room for storing feed and medicine, two individual stalls for the equine residents, and an upper loft for hay and straw. There was also a swinging double door next to the main entrance which led to a parking area for the family riding lawnmower. (I spent more time on this vehicle than anyone else!) Although this structure was dedicated to Bambi and Thunder, the utility of the building was so much more. The storage capacity was a big help, plus the horse barn was a visually pleasing edifice, adding aesthetic value to our homestead. My sister has since moved away, taking her horses with her. But the building remains as a result of my father's hard work, and houses a small army of chickens, which my mother tends to every day. I always have eggs for breakfast when I go back to visit my parents. If you decide to take on the successful execution of horse barn blueprints, make sure there is enough grass for your horse(s) to eat! My sister's horse barn was located at the base of a large field, which could be sectioned off for each horse, or to let an already grazed area regrow its grass.
