How Cheap Cell Phones Have Changed Since the Decades

A long time back, vehicles were a luxury, and today they are a necessity. In the same way, cells were a luxury when they were first launched, and only the lucky few could have it. However, phones have become a very important device in the life of the common man. Because of the rising demand and supply, the number of features and services that one could get for a certain price has increased. Some features that were a luxury a few years ago are commonplace today. Here are the three top features whose prices have come down:

Music Playing Devices:

Just a few years ago, no cheap phone had audio playing capabilities, forget video. However, with the prices of technology and mobiles coming down, several cheap mobile phones have audio and video playing capabilities. These s have the necessary playlist software, and most can be synched with the computer, so that one can simply transfer music from their computer to the mobile.

Radio:

When mobiles were first launched, they were simply dour devices that used to send and receive calls and text messages. However, today they have become complete information and entertainment devices. Even the cheapest of phones have inbuilt radios, which allow one to listen to music on the go. While a headphone or a Bluetooth headset was a requisite to activate the radio, today there are some cheap phone models that do not need the headphones to activate the radio,

GPRS:

GPRS was the granddaddy of 3G and WLAN, and was worth quite a buck when it was first launched in phones. In fact, GPRS was the superstar of the mobile market until EDGE and 3G came up, and it was the reason why one could watch streaming music and video and access the Internet via their cells. A GPRS plan is still expensive if you do not use it as much as you would like to, but cells having the GPRS feature have come down a lot.

These are the three important features that were not available in cheap phones just a few years ago, but are today a commonplace in most mobile phones.
