In order to prevent your body from going into starvation mode you should take a diet which is based on a balanced nutrition. A balanced diet should contain carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins. Your diet should however not contain plenty of carbohydrates because they contain a lot of calories which will be converted and stored as fat by the body. However the reduction in carbohydrates should be coupled with an increase in proteins in your diet. Proteins are the building blocks of muscles and in order to lose weight you need to increase your lean body muscles. Lean body muscles lead to an increase in your body metabolism and this will make you burn more calories.

You need to lift weights as well so that you increase your lean body muscles as well as perform aerobic exercises so that you can rev up your body metabolism and burn more calories.
