subject: Nlp Training And Confidence [print this page]

You cannot fix self esteem problems with medication, you can't just take a tablet or rub something on the wound, it is a much deeper problem requiring a much more long term solution. Low self esteem is a massive problem that can get in the way of both your personal life and your career, so it is very important that they get sorted out as soon as possible.

One way this can be done is through NLP training. This is the study of excellence in other people, looking at how these people are so excellent in their fields of work or study, and encourages you to learn from these studies to improve your own skills in either your personal life or professional life. One of the aspects looked at in NLP is confidence.

It does so by teaching self belief. NLP teaches that humans all impose limits on themselves. We do this every single time we say, either out loud, to ourselves or even subconsciously, 'I could never do that,' or 'That's beyond my reach,' or similar. NLP teaches us to acknowledge, address and then eradicate these self-imposed limitations, thus increasing our potential for success and consequently our confidence. It also teaches is to set goals that meet the balance between realistic and ambitious. It then shows us how to achieve these goals, which in turn boosts our self-esteem.

Those who undergo NLP training often do so because of the qualifications it affords them once complete. However, due to the exposure to NLP sessions by qualified practitioners which are a part of the training, many find themselves benefitting from the therapy side of NLP too. Alongside the confidence boost of achieving qualifications and adding to a skill set, this can be great in pushing individuals forward on a personal and professional level.

In a competitive employment market, confidence can be of paramount important when it comes to landing new jobs or promotions, particularly at the interview stage. With a new repertoire of skills developed through NLP and an increased confidence, you give yourself the edge.
