A holiday on the Isle of Wight opens up a huge range of possibilities, from exploring the Island's beautiful countryside to discovering historical buildings, museums and adventure parks. Family members of all ages are bound to find something to entertain them ensuring that a great holiday will be had by everyone. Here's a look at the attractions on offer:

The Needles Park at Alum Bay

This iconic landmark is a must-see attraction while on an Isle of Wight holiday. Visitors can marvel at the multi-coloured sands on the beach, take a chairlift to view the striking Needles themselves or a boat ride to view them close up. Children can play on the Jurassic mini golf course or visit the nearby shops where they can watch experienced glassmakers in action, build sand sculptures or just visit the old-fashioned sweet shop. Every Thursday this summer (30 July 27 August) there is a spectacular firework display over the Isle of Wight with street performers providing street entertainment accompanied by live music at the special Magic in the Skies night.

Carisbrooke Castle

The 800 year old Carisbrooke Castle offers plenty for children and adults alike to enjoy. Families can explore the engaging museum and visitor centre, climb the castle steps or even watch the resident donkeys pulling water from the deep Medieval wells before taking lunch on one of the many large lawns or in the excellent caf.

Blackgang Chine

This adventure park offers a whole host of activities that are guaranteed to entertain all ages. Featuring huge rollercoasters, butterfly walks, Sleeping Beautys castle and a giant hedge maze there is something for everyone amongst these cliff top gardens. For those seeking the ultimate thrill there is even a rollercoaster that is perched near the edge of the vertical cliffs and rises to 400ft above the sea.

Amazon World Zoo Park

With some of the worlds most endangered species in the zoo, children are able to learn about rainforests and conservation first hand and experience some fantastic endangered animals such as sloths, tapirs and even anteaters. There is also a pond full of crocodiles and numerous species of tropical birds flying overhead, whilst there are always displays going on, such as the falconry display, with a variety of wonderful birds of prey.
