Insecurity in relationships is a horrible thing to deal with. Whether its you or your partner, insecurity can disguise itself in many forms that you may not even recognize. Times when we doubt ourselves and our ability to accomplish something or when we feel like the people we love don't really care about us. That's insecurity.
Men and women experience insecurity. Insecurity is when we lack confidence in our self-worth or we don't trust ourselves to be able to do something and accomplish it. We don't even realize sometimes when we are showing signs of insecurity or when someone else is.
Those signs are shyness, paranoia, or being withdrawn socially. In turn, we start becoming arrogant to mask our feelings, and we become aggressive. We also isolate ourselves from people and not even realize it. Focusing all our time on something that takes us away from our loved ones is a sign of insecurity.
Insecurity can also make your partner feel like they have to constantly say things that lift and motivate you. This causes exhaustion and hopelessness for your partner. You make them think that you'll never come out of this depression, and this could make them give up.
When we ignore our partners in relationships this is also a sign of insecurity. Refusing to spend is a form of insecurity even though we don't realize it. You have to realize that everything your partner says and does is not a direct attack against you. To save a relationship from insecurity you have to have communication.
You have to start talking about whats on your mind to your partner. Start self-reflecting and recognizing your own value and self-worth. Seeing how you can accomplish things you set your mind to and you can be depended on to do something.
Start recognizing when you feel insecure. When you feel jealously, mistrust, not being able to open up and talk, or putting yourself down. Talk to your partner about whats making you feel this way. Take this seriously because people have hurt themselves physically and mentally over insecurity.
You have to start talking and opening up, no matter how difficult or scared you may be to do so. The only way to beat insecurity in relationships is to communicate.
