The Rangers was known also as the Washington Senators in the 60's The fans and supporters have been showing their support by buying the Ranger tickets since they started.

The Rangers was first called the Washington Senators or just the Senators. The original Senators transferred to Minnesota in 1960 and was renamed as the Twins. With them, they took their records and history leaving only the name to the new team. The Senators were not so fortunate with their games and kept on losing. Being in Texas were the temperature easily gets around the 100s, attendance to games started dwindling. Night games were held so that the players and the fans will not be bothered by the extreme heat of the summer. This became a tradition that is being practiced by the team up to date.

The team moved to a different stadium in 1995, the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, a publicly funded ballpark. The move was proven to be good for the team. That very same year, the team won a division championship, the very first for the team. They won 2 more championships in 1998 and 1999.

The team underwent hiatus since then. However, the team is now ready for a comeback. With a promising roster, the winning a championship for the team is no longer deemed out of reach.
