Meditation: While you laugh, endorphins are released in the brain, which are neurotransmitters that act as natural pain killers by attaching themselves to the same receptors in the brains like the opiate drug, which numb pain by making us lose sense with reality. Laughter has a similar effect of numbing pain, though it obviously does not have the same kind of negative effects as the drug.

Further, another study has revealed that children laugh about 400 times a day, while adults do the same only 17 times. Isnt it amazing how much of our inner child we lose, much to the chagrin of our fading health, as we grow up?
