subject: Removing Hair In Time For Summer [print this page]

Summer time means more people start to show more skin. The long layers come off and they are replaced by cut off jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, flip flops, tank tops and short sleeves.

The warm is often times a welcome change to the cold and dreary months of the winter. When the sun starts to shine in spring everything starts to warm up.

If you are worried about shedding those extra layers because you have an excessive amount of hair in an area you are embarrassed of, there are many different ways to get rid of that hair. Understand your options so you can join the skin bearing throngs of people.

First, the most standard way to remove hair from a spot that you do not want it to be is to shave. There are a lot of men and women all around the United States that shave daily.

Shaving will require you to buy a razor and some shaving cream of thick soap. There are some people that will shave in the shower to avoid the mess of shaving over a sink.

Shaving in the shower also gives you access to your whole body. You can keep your shaving materials in the shower so that they are easily available when you need them.

After you shave you should apply unscented lotion to the area to protect it from getting too dry. You will be able to feel the smoothness of your hairless skin for a few days before your hair will start to grow back.

Because the razor only takes the top part of the hair off, it is definitely not a permanent solution to your excessive hair woes. For some people the smoothness can last for as many as 7 days while others will only feel the smoothness for one day.

Shaving is simple, inexpensive and easy. It is the most common way to remove unwanted hair.

Some people say that when you start to shave your hair will begin to grow back thicker and darker than it was before. For some people this is true and for others it is false.

Shaving can be time consuming because you have to keep up on it. You will have to shave consistently to enjoy the smooth skin that comes from not having any hair.

For some people waxing is a much easier way of removing hair. This process is much more painful than shaving but it also lasts a lot longer.

When you want to shave your hairs you have to let them grow out to be about a half an inch thick. By growing out the hair you are allowing the hair to be grabbed by the wax that you will then apply.

Many people go to professionals to have all of their waxing taken care of. The professional will apply warm wax to your skin and then quickly rip it off.

When the wax it is taken off of your skin it will rip the hairs out with it. This means that the hair will take a longer time to grow back.

The hair will have been ripped out from its base. Some say that after consistently waxing over a long period of time your hair will begin to soften and take longer to grow back.

If you are not comfortable with a professional waxing your body you can wax yourself at home. You will have to buy the pot that heats the wax, the proper wax, the waxing strips and some salve to put on your skin after you wax.

When you are waxing at home you have to make sure that you do not let the wax get too hot in the pot. If you do this you will burn your skin.

When you put hot wax on your skin you cannot remove it until it cools enough to rip it off. This can be extremely painful if you burn your skin.

Because of the pain factor many people choose to have laser hair removal done on their body. This process is much more expensive than the other two ways of removing hair.

The laser hair removal is the most permanent form of hair removal on the market right now. If you are able to afford laser hair removal and you are looking for a permanent solution you should go for it.

Make sure that you know you absolutely never want hair where you are going to be treated. This process is irreversible, and you do not want to regret your decision.
