Gabby Logan Becomes Vice Patron Of The Disabilities Trust
Gabby Logan (formerly Yorath) is possibly most recognised for her role as a BBC Sports commentator and former international gymnast. She has now taken on a new role however, as vice patron for The Disability Trust a charity for people who have learning and physical disabilities in the UK.
Gabby started her new role at the start of the month but has worked with The Disability Trust for the past three years going to many fundraising events and increasing publicity. Her mother introduced her to the charity; she has been a member of the board for ten years.
Previously Gabby has hosted events such as the golf day she and her husband organised in support of the charity and it is suggested that her new role as vice patron will involve many more fundraising events in the future to attempt to raise the public profile of the charity.
Gabby has showed her appreciation of her new role saying, 'I am delighted to have accepted the role of vice patron,' and that the role was, 'close to her heart.'
The Disability Trust provides many services in the UK to people suffering from a variety of brain disorders, physical disabilities and learning difficulties. The Trust aims to help with rehabilitation, care and providing support to over 850 people at present.

The Trust regularly partakes in white water rafting days and theses are free to get involved with as long as you receive some sponsors- there is no minimum sponsor amount. White water rafting is very popular so this event takes place quite a lot.
