Exercises to Grow Taller: Three Stretching Exercises

Height is a very important aspect of self esteem. Those who are taller are better noticed than those who are disadvantaged in height. However, we have all been convinced to accept the fact that at a point in time we stop growing taller. The worst is that we are made to believe that there is nothing we can do to grow taller once we pass the age of puberty. There are certain stretching exercises you can do to make you grow taller.

Stretching Your Body

This is a simple exercise you can do. You just need something like a bar on which you can pull up. You must hang on this bar for between 5 and 10 minutes a day. Whiles hanging on the bar, try changing your grip continuously from overhand to underhand. You should also change the spacing between both hands at least every two minutes. This allows the various muscles to be stretched at various points. If you do this, you will make you gain up to one and a half inches.

Stretching Your Legs and Spines

This is how it goes. Sit on the floor and spread your legs in front of you. Now, try to touch your toes by leaning forward. Do not bend you knees as you try to do this. In the beginning, you find it difficult to touch your toes. Keep on trying until you are able to do so. When you finally succeed, remain in that position until you can feel your hamstring and your spine stretching. This is one of the best exercises for stretching your legs and spine.

Stretching Your Shoulders

This is another simple exercise. You begin by lying flat on your stomach on the floor. Slowly lift your arms and your shoulder away from the floor. Remain in that position and count slowly up to ten. Lower the arms and shoulders gradually to the original position. Don't hold your breath as you do this exercise. Repeat for up to 6 times. You will surely see some changes in your height after about 3 to 4 weeks of doing this exercise.

In addition to these, practice some anaerobic exercises such as cycling and swimming. These are exercises that make you stretch the muscles in your body. There are other sporting activities that can help you stretch your body. Look for such activities and do them.
