I often think too much, about what goes on in my life, and often to my detriment. I say that because it is often the over thinking or the over analyzing that causes most of the problems. Having the right mindset is important and there are two things that help me stack focused and one track.
Mastermind groups are an integral part of my success and I know many others who use them as well. We learn about mastermind groups in the classic "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill. He mentions that when two or more people are gathered together with a common goal in mind that a third mind is created. This "third" mind is the mind of the collective, so to speak, and it is this mind that has tremendous power. Mastermind groups are a great tool for brainstorming, feedback forums, etc.
Secondly, I would like to discuss the use of Mind Maps. They are a system of taking notes by using diagrams. A mind map will display your ideas on paper in a free flowing and relational way that regular note taking cannot. They are an effective tool for brainstorming, organizational structures, etc. and I have not found a thing that would not benefit from a good mind map. You can use just a piece of paper and a pen or for a more formal look, there are free online applications and downloadable desktop software for purchase.
So as the New Year approaches, I urge you to take charge or your 2010 by using mastermind groups and mind maps to maintain your focus. These two tools alone can elevate your Internet business to another level and give you a new sense of focus and a heightened awareness.
