How to flatten the hanging abdominal area with the use of Abdominoplasty?

Tummy tuck is a surgical procedure and used to squash the stomach area. It is also known as Panniculectomy or Abdominoplasty. It helps to remove large amount of fat or skin from the abdominal area. Abdominoplasty removes unnecessary hanging skin and makes slim the abdominal muscles. This surgery also removes stretch marks on the skin that appear on the lower abdominal.

Abdominoplasty is done under the general anesthesia. It takes different time depending on the type of Abdominoplasty. Such as, Complete Abdominoplasty takes about 3 to 4 hours where Partial Abdominoplasty takes 1 - 2 hours. Only 2 to 3 days required in hospitalization.

Abdominoplasty requires a horizontal surgical incision in lower abdomen. Length of surgical incision depends on the amount of the skin. If the amount of the skin is excessive then make surgical incision around the navel. After that the skin stretch down, then extra fat is removed and surgical incision is stretched. If removal of large amount of fat is required from the abdominal area then Abdominoplasty may be used with Liposuction.

The Abdominoplasty requires when someone has loose or excess, sagging abdominal skin or thinned abdominal muscle after pregnancy.

After the Abdominoplasty operation, the patient may experience lots of pain, discomfort, bruising, numbness and tiredness for the next few days. Just after the operation, the patient is advised to take complete bed rest and it may also possible that the surgeon may bind the patient legs with their hip to reduce the stress on the abdominal muscles.

Tummy tuck is same like other operation. It also follows the same surgical procedure like scarring, bleeding infection, damage to deeper structures etc. It is very rare chance of complication in Abdominoplasty operation. The smokers have a big risk; otherwise Abdominoplasty operation is relatively safe.
