One of the best tips I was given when I started was to write out at the end of each day what I needed to do the next day. Make a list of 3-5 activities that are lead building or sales producing. Where many go wrong with the list is they create a dream list of what they want to achieve, and not a list of actions that has to be done in order for the results to come.
So instead of writing down on your list 'get three customers', you will put down the actions you do to enable you to get more customers.
All of the top people that I have the pleasure to meet and work with all do this system. It is something I very much endorse. If you know accurately what you want to achieve and have it on paper, the odds of achieving it enhance greatly.
Come up with a plan of operation for your online business. I found it easier to do my year plan first, and be bold. Then I break it down to a 3 month plan along with all the steps I need to take to make it happen. Then separate the 3 month plan into weeks and then into days. Then you have a physical business plan for each day over the next 3 months.
Be adaptable with your plan. If you notice that you need to make adjustments do not be scared to make them, but ensure they go along with with your year plan. Remember the saying, if you fail to plan you are planning to fail.
The other great part of making these business plans like this is that the real idea is to hit the targets before the said timelines you have written down. So the more things you accomplish in the attainment of your goal the greater the chances of you achieving more than you originally thought you would in the time period.
Having an online business is the same as any other business in most ways, it just has other disciplines. By organising your schedule and creating a blue print for your success not only will you know what you need to do you will know that you are on the right road. Becoming an entrepreneur is all about rising up to take the challenge, so take the challenge, it just takes a little discipline thats all.
