subject: Direct Tv Makes Home Entertainment Enjoyable [print this page] There are lots of good choices available for fulfilling the home entertainment needs of todays TV viewers. Some people opt for Cable television providers because it enables them to bundle services that include the use of their computer and their land-line telephone, as well, all for one monthly fee.
Many people like Satellite TV. There are lots of reasons for this, as well. Monthly fees are reasonable, in most cases. Services are extensive (lots of programming and lots of advanced technical features, too) and customer support is usually first rate.
And yet, I prefer Direct TV. My provider gives me lots of programming choices (well over 200 channels to keep me busy most evenings) my monthly fee is acceptable and the services I receive are generally quite reliable.
Could I do better with a Cable TV provider or a Satellite TV provider? Perhaps, but like many people, once I get comfortable with a routine (and for me the routine is the continuous access I enjoy to Direct TV services and programming), I tend to stick with it.
I like Direct TV on a number of levels. I rarely suffer loss of services due to weather, electrical blackouts or any other reasons. I have the use of a remote control that has turned me into the worlds greatest couch potato. I never have to rise from my prone position on the couch to fiddle with a button or knob on my TV. I have an endless menu of TV programs to watch everything from Hollywood movies, past and present to live comedy shows from compelling historical documentaries to fun-filled variety entertainment shows from reality TV to travel TV and more, much, much more.
I consider it to be an embarrassment of riches. In fact, and this may be a problem that plagues Cable and Satellite TV subscribers, as well, the limitless channels to which I have access at all times sometimes makes it difficult for me to settle on a single program.
I understand that its a good problem to have, actually not a problem at all, but there have been many evenings when I find three or four programs running at the same time and I try to watch all of them it cant be done. But I still try.
I suppose Im fortunate to be able to subscribe to a service like Direct TV (or, for others Cable or Satellite TV) and the problem I have is, of course, no problem at all.
