subject: Ticket America Has Your U2 Concert Tickets [print this page]

It's the concert people all over the world have been waiting for, the U2 350 Tour in 2010. The excitement is building in the air and if you've attended a U2 concert before, you know that this band is worth every cent you spend to get in on the live music, action and entertainment this Dublin band brings to the stage. If you haven't been to a U2 concert, there's nothing that compares to being in the audience and getting the acoustics feeds and witnessing the spectacular performances as Bono belts out some of your favorite tunes live, up close and in person.

Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr. are true performers when it comes to live stage events like the 360 tour that's already begun. Tickets began going on sale in mid-March for the European shows and quickly sold out in Milan, Amsterdam and Gothenburg. "We don't take anything for granted," Bono said about the sold out shows that were scheduled for Croke Parke in Dublin, "It's a very big deal for us to sell out our hometown at such speed..."

As you may already know, U2 has been making musical since forming their band during secondary school back in 1976 when they were still teenagers. Although they had no formal musical proficiency at the time, it didn't take long before the foursome had struck a deal with Island Records and released their first album. In less than 10 years, U2 begun being recognized as one of the world's top groups, particularly in live performances. With 12 studio albums under their belts and more than 145 million records sold, U2 has won more Grammy awards than any other band with 22 to their credit. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 and making Rolling Stone's list of 100 greatest artists of all time gives U2 a repertoire most can't touch.

The 360 Tour began on June 30, 2009, is supported by the band's album No Line on the Horizon and is scheduled to run through October 3, 2010. That's plenty of time to get to one of these great events scheduled for stadiums around the world. The name selection for this tour is in sync with 360 degree audience configurations around the staging. Innovatively thinking, the banded decided to stream their performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California over YouTube which set a new single headlined attendance record in the U.S. If this is any indication of the great success this tour will be, you'll want to get your tickets before they're all sold out!

The design of architect Mark Fisher and designer Willie Williams may be setting the standard for concerts to come by many with their 360 degree configuration. The stage is in the center of the stadium and has a large 4-legged steel structure that houses the speaker system. The video screens are suspended above the stage in a cylindrical manner. Surrounding the stage is a circular ramp that has rotating bridges connecting it to the stage. General admission tickets will give fans the opportunity to get seats on the outside of the ramp along with the inside area between the ramp and the stage, close enough to feel the sweat fly!

Because of this 360-degree centered location, there is no front or back to the stage and the fans will have seating options around all sides of the stage. This progressive thinking allows for up to 20 percent more seating capacity. With a set list that includes such hits as "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "Breathe", "The Unforgettable Fire", "City of Blinding Lights", and "Vertigo", fans will enjoy nearly 25 songs at this jam packed musical extravaganza.
