One thing that could be considered a "freebie" on the homeopathic HCG diet is herbal tea. Many dieters make it through the very low calorie diet by reach for herb tea anytime they are hungry. And anytime dieters are thirsty...but water doesn't seem to cut it they can also reach for herb tea.

Many prefer to purchase their herbal tea. A brand that is recommended by many on the homeopathic HCG diet is Stash. Stash is available at many health food stores. It is also available at some grocery stores. It comes in a variety of flavors.

Some find it depression that sweeteners aren't allowed. Dieters cannot add sugar, honey or artificial sweetener to their herbal tea. It is against the homeopathic HCG dieting protocol. One thing that dieters are allowed to add to their herbal tea is Stevia. It is encouraged as a sweetener for homeopathic HCG dieters and is particularly appropriate for herbal tea.

Still others dieting while adhering to the homeopathic HCG protocol become attached to particular herbal tea mixtures that they concoct themselves, learn from other dieters or pull from HCG dieting cookbooks. One particular favorite of many dieters is Fruity Green Tea.

Recipe for Fruity Green Tea:

1. Boil 1 cup of water

2. Soak your tea bags in your boiling water. 5 green tea bags. Try your own flavor combination. We suggest 2 mangosteen and 3 pomegranate-raspberry.

3. Obtain a 2 quart pitcher. Pour herbal tea mixture in and then fill to the top with water.

4. Add juice of 2 lemons (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup)

5. Stevia, 4 to 5 droppers full. (Your choice of flavor. Suggested flavors include: Valencia Orange, lemon and Apricot Nectar).
