New York is one of the most urbanized state in America. It is located in the northeastern part of the United States. It is ranked as the third state with the most population in America. In the seventeenth century the place was inhabited by Native Americans, and then later on Dutch nationals as well as some people from France came to reside there.

1. The first answer is the Ninth day of July, 1776. This was the date when it was officially accepted as an American state.

2. The second answer is when the ratification of the American constitution for New York happened. The constitution became the foundation for the establishment of a formal government there.

3. The third answer is whhe American constitution was finally amended and NY got proclaimed as the eleventh state in 1788. This joyful event happened in July 26, 1788.

In the early years of the nineteenth century areas for public transportation were made such as canals. The canals made travel in the new state easier. People were able to travel through the Great Lakes and Hudson River. The easy travel also gave the state an economic boost because trading was made easier. The canals were also the reason why more people migrated to New York. The government responded to the growing number of migrants for New York by appointing one island to be the entry point of the people coming in. The place was the island called Ellis. It became the entry point from 1892 until 1954.

Another signification event in for the state in the nineteenth century was the installation of the Statue of Liberty. It was installed there in October 28, 1886. It was a gift from France because the Americans celebrated 100 years of independence. It was installed in the Liberty Island.

Another famous New York landmark is the Grand Central Terminal. It is also known as the Grand Central Station. It can be found in Manhattan's midtown area. It started its operations in 1913. Recently it underwent a huge renovation so it can reclaim its original beauty. It is one of the regions famous transportation areas because it connects the state to the other nearby towns and cities. It has also become a popular tourist destination.
