subject: How Are Solvent Recyclers Used In Different Industries [print this page]

Automotive and Industrial companies as well as laboratories spend countless amounts of money each year purchasing solvents to use in their work. Not only are these solvents expensive for the company but they can be difficult and expensive to dispose of and cause harm to the environment. Now thanks to new technology solvent recyclers can save these businesses and laboratories money while helping to preserve the environment.

What are solvent recyclers?

Solvent recyclers are machines that uses a highly efficient fractional distillation system to separate contaminants from the liquid solvent and remove them. These machines can restore the solvent to its original purity making it possible to use these solvents over again.

Until about 20 years ago industries and laboratories had very little choice but use their solvent and then dispose of it and buy more. This was costly to the businesses and laboratories who needed to use these solvents as not only did the price of these solvents keep rising but there were stricter and stricter guidelines placed on how and where these solvents could be disposed off making it necessary for these places to hire companies who came and took away the product and disposed of it according to the guidelines. The prices for these companies services also kept increasing. They are still increasing today.

However solvent recyclers have made it possible for companies to lower both the cost of their solvents and the cost of disposal as they need to purchase less solvent because they can recycle their solvents over and over again and the only waste that needs to be disposed off is the contaminants themselves. Some of these contaminants do not need special measures taken for their disposal and they are not considered particularly hazardous or dangerous.

Solvent recyclers come in various sizes from small machines that are designed to recycle only one or two gallons of solvent at a time, to large industrial machines that can recycle a 100 gallons or more at a time. Newer technology is working on making solvent recyclers that can purify even larger qualities of solvents.

Where solvent recyclers are used

While not every company that works with solvents have invested in a solvent recyclers you can find these machines in almost any type of business that uses solvents. They are quickly becoming a standard piece of machinery for laboratories and many industries. While these businesses are using these machines in order to save large amounts of money in both purchasing the solvent and in it's disposal it has the added benefit of helping the environment by reducing the amount of hazardous waste that needs to be disposed of making these machines both cost effective and environmentally sound investments.

Not every business needs one of these machines but, those who do and have purchased solvent recyclers have discovered that these machines pay for themselves within a year or two and then go on to save the companies that use them hundreds or thousands of dollars a year - not to mention helping to save the environment.
