Now think about how your spouse is feeling after finding out that you cheated. You'll need to follow some guidelines that have been designed for saving your marriage after infidelity.

1. Earning forgiveness

This is probably the biggest key to saving your marriage after infidelity. It's not always that easy to get somebody if you've cheated on them. You must forgive or receive forgiveness before moving on to the next step.

2. Communicate

3. Commitment

After forgiveness and communication comes commitment. If you've managed to save your marriage, and are giving it another chance, remember that this is basically a probationary period. You are going to have to have a commitment... REAL commitment... to being honest, and proving that the infidelity isn't going to happen again.
