subject: Meet Breitling Blackbird Chronograph Limited Edition Blacksteel Watch [print this page] This year, the famous watchmaking house Breitling has announced its new captivating watch, called Blackbird Chronograph Limited Edition Blacksteel. The watch is proposed with a stainless steel case, which grabs attention with its high-tech Diamond Like Carbon coating.
The new Breitling chronograph watch is framed by a bezel, as well featuring a DLC treatment with an extremely attractive matte finish. The latter helps to avoid the risk of scratching. The case, the crown and the pushers are also DLC-coated.
Similar to all watches from this brand, the Blackbird is designed around a manufactory-made self-winding chronograph movement "" Caliber 44, officially chronometer-certified by the COSC. Embellished with 38 jewels, the movement features a balance wheel, moving back and forth at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanism provides the functions of 1/4th of a second chronograph, with 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers.
The movement is incorporated into a steel case, which measures 43.70 mm in diameter. It is endowed with a screw-locked crown, as well as a bidirectional rotating and ratcheted bezel. The case is armed with a cambered sapphire crystal, featuring an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The case back of the Breitling watch is crafted from polished steel and engraved with a limited edition number. The water-resistance of the model is ensured down to 300 meters.
The black dial is completed with red and white contrasting hour-markers and hands. The date is displayed through a panorama exhibition window positioned at 12 o"clock.
The Breitling Blackbird Chronograph Limited Edition Blacksteel watch is affixed to a Diver Pro II or Ocean Racer rubber strap, closed with the Blacksteel pushbutton folding clasp. Alternatively, it can be mounted on a Diver Pro II rubber strap, finished with a carbon treated tang-type buckle.
