Its no doubt that cellphones have been one of the must-have necessity of life for people ever since recorded history began. Its a sign of taste and fashion, as well as a symbol of social status and recognition. Sony Ericsson have always offered a lot of good products such as Sony Ericsson W995 for people all over the world. And another two item, Sony Ericsson W595 and Sony Ericsson W715 are also very popular. The W995 handset of Sony Erickson is equipped with many advanced functionalities. With this Walkman series, a person can enjoy anytime and anywhere in their spare time. The entertainment functionality of the device includes 8.1 Mega Pixels camera with attachments like auto focus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilizer. The mobile users can easily access and download songs with powerful Vodafone network and can enjoy through its music player system. Sony Erickson also supports a 2G and 3G network including HSDPA and GSM.
The first thing that caught our eyes was the 2.6-inch screen one of the biggest-ever in the Walkman series. The QVGA screen is quite sharp and also does reasonably well even under bright sunlight. The top slides out smoothly, but we wish Sony Ericsson had left a little more space below the semi-circular keys. We ended up pressing one of the bottom buttons or the D-Pad, especially when we slide out the top in a hurry. The keypad is neat and spaced out well. There is no problem accessing the top row unlike in other slider phones. There is a nice feedback though, as you press the keys.
The D-Pad is nothing new. There are four semi-circular buttons around the D-Pad. The top two are soft keys. If you spend some time wondering what the other two buttons are supposed to do, you cannot be blamed, because you have to look closely to find that they have some graphics. You can change the menu view to either the convenient grid view or the rotating mode. The rotating view, though pleasing to the eye, prevents you from noticing what application comes next. Youll have to scroll all over again to find the icon that you wanted to activate. If you have managed to make out that the bottom left key is for the Activity menu, you will discover a nice helpful feature. The Activity menu can store your shortcuts and aid multi-tasking by displaying active menus.
And then of course, there are the usual suspects shake control and SensMe, which lets you to create a playlist based on your mood by analysing tracks individually and enhancing the tempo and mood. About the Author:
