subject: Small Business Marketing Tips - Take Full Responsibility [print this page] Take 100% Responsibility Take 100% Responsibility
How many times have you made excuses or how many times have you blamed things on other events or people in your life for the results that you are getting?
Well, STOP it.
If you want to achieve success in your life, then you must be fully responsible for everything that you do, everything that you say and how you react to events.
When we coach our clients, one of the first things that we coach them on is a philosophy called above and below the line
People who operate below the line do three things, they make excuses about why things were not done the usual one is that they were too busy. They blame other people for their inability to complete a task or worse still, the operate in a mode of denial its not my job, no one told me or I did not know I had to do that .
If you are in business and you are busy applying small business marketing strategies to your business, but are not achieving the results, start to look at how you are approaching life and business.
Once again, when we coach our clients, we take them from being below the line to operating above the line both for themselves and for their team.
Someone who operates above the line assumes full ownership of their business or present situation at least. They introduce a level of accountability to the role They allow themselves to be held accountable by sharing their vision and mission with the team or with their family and as a result are responsible for the outcomes that they achieve.
When results still do not yield for them, they have a choice. They can control their response to their results and their response will ultimately determine their outcome over a period of time.
The term that we use for people who operate below the line is victim and the term used to describe people who operate above the line is victor. You will rarely meet a successful victim.
Applying small business marketing strategies to your business without first operating above the line will ultimately lead to failure and disappointment for you and your business. Look in the mirror and get above the line. Do not allow yourself to fall back into the old habits of operating below the line. You may need someone to hold you accountable to taking full responsibility allow this to happen.
